PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE

To dream, and to endeavour towards the dream, are basic rights of any individual. We, at Arunodaya Trust, dreamt to develop an educational system in keeping with our society’s needs. Hence, in pursuit of our dream, we set up - on sound principles and strong foundations - Arunodaya Institute of Legal Studies (AILS), creating a pillar of legal knowledge for young Indians who want to pursue Law.

Arunodaya Trust was established in 2006 with the motto of ‘Service to society through value-based and professional education’. Various professional institutions branched out of Arunodaya Trust, among which AILS (Affiliated to KSLU, Approved by BCI & Permitted by the Government of Karnataka) was established in 2006 as well.

We are proud to say that AILS is a well-established institution operating for the past 12 years. It has been imparting quality education in all core Law subjects under the KSLU Syllabus for 3-Year LL.B and 5-Year B.A. LL.B programmes, and under the principalship of Smt. T.K. Shridevi, LL.M., is looking to advance steadfastly.

We have provided AILS with modern infrastructure and well-equipped classrooms, a library arrayed in books on all subjects of Law, furnished with a Reference Section and a Reading Room, all complemented with an e-Library attached to our Computer Lab.

Seven well-established and well-placed alumni itself is self-explanatory to prove AILS as one of the best institutions in our State.

I would like to highlight that AILS is committed to the placement of deserving candidates in Law Firms, Corporate Houses, Judicial Services, Civil Services, Banking Institutions, Insurance Companies and NGOs, while also catering to various legal needs.

I take it as a compliment that AILS has set a trend which is noteworthy due to the excellent commitment of our teaching faculty and the continuous support provided by our non-teaching staff.

I assure you AILS is an excellent learning environment where one will assuredly ascend the ladder of success with an indelible impression of learning.

Overall development of the individual is the goal of education. I assure that there shall be no stone left unturned to equip the student to face the challenges of today.

SECRETARY’S MESSAGE

I sincerely pledge to those with the goal of attaining eminence in the field of Law that AILS is an apt abode of learning to all who opt it.

AILS presently offers the 3-Year LL.B. course, and now, I feel proud and honoured to announce that from 2018-19, we are launching B.A. LL.B., an integrated course of 5Years.

Since the inception of AILS in 2006, I have witnessed rapid growth and excellent development of our institution.

The competitive nature of the present-day social structure demands education to be focused on transforming students - not only into a specialised professionals, but also good human beings.

AILS is the dream project of the Arunodaya Trust, with a vision of serving the society through qualitative legal education, and has been committed to it for the past twelve years.

The mission of AILS is to spread legal education of the highest quality and best standards with a novel idea.

Since the inception of the institution, Smt. TK Shridevi, the Principal of AILS, leads it with a modern and positivistic approach. She is the spirit of AILS and has been a visionary of the students’ aspirations. She has created a warm climate of cooperation and has been successful in instilling leadership qualities in students. Her professionalism and commitment towards the institution is commendable.

The seven batches of AILS are well-placed today in corporations, Law firms, Government institutions, as Lecturers, and last but not the least, in litigation. This has been possible only due to the dedication of the faculty of AILS. They possess rich experience in delivering knowledge with their teaching and research skills and have been instrumental in the growth of AILS.

Apart from the academic initiatives, AILS constantly encourages students to organise and participate in National-Level Moot Court competitions, client-counselling competitions, seminars, workshops and various cultural, sporting and literary competitions; with the students duly having brought laurels to us.

I congratulate you all on your choice of AILS and welcome you to further your ambitions and goals.

I vouch that our institution will be the best stepping stone for you to scale new heights in the field of Law.
